FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

EMAIL:

March 25, 2018 (Agua Dulce, Calif.): VP Racing Fuels will be on board as a sponsor for the 2018 YOKOHAMA NORRA Mexican 1000. The passion and dedication of VP to stay on the leading edge of technology is legendary. Most of VP’s employees are, or have been racers in one form or another and are driven by the competitive will to win. Mag-7 will be back providing pit support for all teams who wish to use them. VP and Mag-7 will deliver fuel to Ensenada and all Mag-7 pits along the way. Free Mag-7 pit support is provided to help smaller teams compete without the need to form a huge effort. Just get your vehicle to the race and have fun without the logistical worries of running pits all the way to Cabo. Bigger teams with their own established pit crews are free to make their own plans if they choose. After mileage maps are released, fuel orders will be able to be placed on the Mag-7 website. www.mag7race.com

“We are excited that VP has become the official racing fuel of NORRA,” says Brian Busby of Amber Racing Services, “We have also worked closely with Mag-7 for the past decade or so. Now with the collaboration of NORRA, Mag-7, VP, and Amber Racing Services, we have created an easy ordering process and will offer not only pit delivery service for smaller teams, but the normal main fuel pit pick up for the larger teams like we do for other Baja races. Mag-7 will have VP110 & Premium 91 octane that will be treated with VP’s Octanium. Octanium is an octane concentrate that increases octane numbers, improves throttle response as well as acceleration, all while eliminating the chance of knocks and pings. As Baja racers, we all have that lingering fear of getting bad pump gas down south. With Mag-7 securing quality 91 and then having it treated with Octanium, NORRA racers can rest assured that the fuel that they will be receiving will be the best available.”

If you love to race, love to have fun, and love the food, drink and music of Baja, you must come down and experience “The Happiest Race On Earth!”, the 2018 YOKOHAMA NORRA Mexican 1000. Let Mag-7 do the work while you enjoy your adventure down the length of the Baja Peninsula. One of the best parts of the Mexican 1000 is the unique camaraderie that is forged between fellow racers and their crews. They all pitch in to make sure everyone makes it to the finish line in Cabo and the incredible awards ceremony that follows. You will make memories that will last a lifetime. Make plans today to come down and have the time of your life with NORRA.

VP Racing Fuels and Mag-7 Pits will open their online order forms for pit support and fuel orders immediately after the course map is released.

ABOUT NORRA

Beginning in 2010, the National Off Road Racing Association (NORRA) began promoting a rebirth of the NORRA Mexican 1000 rally. The unique off-road rally was co-created by promoter Mike Pearlman to consist of special stages (unlimited speed timed stages in the dirt) linked together by controlled speed liaison / transit sections (highway). The one-of-a-kind, once-a-year, four-day rally includes vintage off-road vehicles and motorcycles, as well as modern desert Rally Raid cars, pre-runner trucks, buggies and motorcycles.

Pearlman's late father Ed and others established the first running of the NORRA Mexican 1000 off-road rally in November of 1967, which eventually became internationally recognized and evolved into the Baja 1000 in the mid-1970's.

The 2018 NORRA Mexican 1000 is supported by Yokohama, Method Race Wheels, Walker Evans Racing, South Point Hotel Casino, Bilstein Shock Absorbers, Multitool USA, Mastercraft/Impact Safety, P.C.I. Race Radios, Cerveceria Transpeninsular, VP Racing Fuels, Steel-It, Ensenada Proturismo and many more.
