Their delicious artisanal beer has become a town favorite, having won multiple awards as a testament. At the NORRA welcome fiesta they will be serving a variety of fresh, frio, local brews for everyone’s enjoyment, and a 24' cold truck will travel the length of the Baja peninsula ensuring each driver and co-driver has a cold cerveza awaiting them at the finish line. Cerveceria Transpeninsular’s theme for their brewery is based on all the different surf spots, coastal views, and the excitement that exists along the road heavily traveled by people around the world who visit Baja California. Their beers are inspired by peninsula's points of interest and they are proud to pay tribute to important families in Baja. The Punta Baja Pale Ale is dedicated to Mama Espinosa and family, and the town of El Rosario. Tierra Del Sol Clara is a well balanced lager that represents the Hussong Family. Enjoy a cold one at the welcome fiesta in Ensenada on Fri. April 20th. Please, during your busy race week, we urge you to stop by and experience all of Cerveceria Transpeninsular’s fine brews and the vista over looking the marina and out towards the ocean. We are sure you will find yourself making plans to visit the brewery on every trip to Baja. For their artisanal craft beer lineups, please visit: ctbrews.com/

You will also experience the most stunningly beautiful Baja scenery as you make your way down the entire length of the Baja Peninsula without the incredible stress and lack of sleep associated with a typical peninsula run. After each day of racing, you will have enough free time to experience a different location in Baja with your friends and family. Each overnight stop has its own unique charm and character. For the this years 2018 YOKOHAMA NORRA Mexican 1000, there will be even more hospitality and special events every night.

A collaboration between NORRA, YOKOHAMA and Cervecia Transpeninsular has produced the limited edition "Baja Blonde" cerveza in what can only be described as a sure bet collectors item can. Reminiscent of the iconic Olympia of off road racings historic past, and for good reason. The signature Baja Blonde was brewed specifically to be refreshing, and will keep you cool as you roll into town and prepare for the next day. As the breweries owner Collin Corrigan says, "Bad roads, bring good people together!"

After days of competition, and nights of celebration, there is a unique camaraderie that is forged between the racers. They all pitch in to make sure everyone makes it to the finish line in Cabo and the incredible awards ceremony that follows. The very first adventurers who set off to run the peninsula would throw a huge celebration afterwards to mark their accomplishment. That tradition continues to this day at the Mexican 1000. If you love to race, love to have fun, and love the food, drink and music of Baja, you must come down and experience the “The Happiest Race On Earth!”, the 2018 YOKOHAMA NORRA Mexican 1000.

ABOUT NORRA

Beginning in 2010, the National Off Road Racing Association (NORRA) began promoting a rebirth of the NORRA Mexican 1000 rally. The unique off-road rally was co-created by promoter Mike Pearlman to consist of special stages (unlimited speed timed stages in the dirt) linked together by controlled speed liaison / transit sections (highway). The one-of-a-kind, once-a-year, four-day rally includes vintage off-road vehicles and motorcycles, as well as modern desert Rally Raid cars, pre-runner trucks, buggies and motorcycles.

Pearlman's late father Ed and others established the first running of the NORRA Mexican 1000 off-road rally in November of 1967, which eventually became internationally recognized and evolved into the Baja 1000 in the mid-1970's.

The 2018 NORRA Mexican 1000 is supported by Yokohama, Method Race Wheels, South Point Hotel Casino, Walker Evans Racing, Bilstein Shock Absorbers, Steel-It, Multitool USA, RIGID, VP Racing Fuels, Timberline, Ensenada Proturismo, Mastercraft/Impact Safety, Cerveceria Transpeninsular, Roganto, Biltwell Inc., Schampa, Racing TraX.com, Satellite Phone Store.com, P.C.I.
